Little Leaves

I made some cards to thank my lovely customers for their orders this month. I had seen something similar on another blog, but I can't remember whose blog it was to give them credit.

I cut a frame on my Stampin' Trimmer out of a square of Very Vanilla and stuck three leaves cut using the Little Leaves Sizzlit behind it, raising them up with stamping dimensionals. Embellished it with two butterflies stamped with the Papillion Potpourri using Raspberry Ripple ink then punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch. The background layer is Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Secret Garden

I wanted to make a card for a lovely lady who is going through chemo at the moment. Just a little note to let her know we are thinking about her and wishing her well.

 

I've used Perfect Plum, Whisper White and Certainly Celery (retired) card stock. I love the Secret Garden stamp set and matching Framelit dies. I stamped the flower onto Vellum card stock with Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder, it gives the flowers quite a delicate look.

Birthday Shoes

It was my friend and colleague Neil's birthday last weekend, so I made him a card with a matching gift card. I have two Stampin' Up demos to thank for the designs which I shamelessly copied (well, if it's not broken, don't fix it!)

Nifty 50

One of my friends was 50 this week, this is the card that I made for her.

 

It is a trifold card made using the Stampin' Up! Scallop Square Bigz die and the Secret Garden stamp set and matching framelits. I followed the instructions on Amanda's blog and cased her lovely card.

 

Best of 25 Years

Stampin' Up! are celebrating their 25th anniversary by bring back a series of their favourite stamps from the last 25 years. There will be one set per month, until October 2013. Something for Christmas

Ok, I know it's only May and that we're only just getting some long awaited sunshine, but I'm taking part in a challenge. I have decided to make 10 Christmas cards a month, so that by October I should have enough cards ready to post out nearer the time. I am a little behind, but today I finished the cards I should have made in March! Thankfully the Christmas card police don't exist, so I won't get into any serious trouble. I have CASED this card from a lovely German blog by Bettina and Maria.

I've used Crumb Cake card stock for the base card, Baja Breeze for the mat and stamped onto Whisper White using Not Quite Navy ink. The leaves are Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

A Baby Girl Album

My friend recently became a Grandma, this the the album I made for her beautiful grand daughter Chloe. It's very similar to the baby boy album I showed you the other day.

A Baby Boy Photo Album

I've recently made a couple of baby photo albums with some of my retired Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper. This is the Baby Boy one. I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. There's room for some photos to be added and space for a bit of journaling, some of it hidden on pull out tags and some on show. The back page has a pocket, so extra photos can be popped in there. I've also made one for a baby girl, which I will show you soon.

Colour Me Your Colour......

I've got the Blondie song buzzing round my head now.

Stampin' Up! have announced that they are making some changes to our colour families. Some colours will retire and be replaced with some lovely new ones. Some you will be sad to see go, but I'm sure you will be delighted with the new ones. I know that I'm excited about the new colours coming our way.

I'm sure that you will recognise one or two of the "new" colours, as having been previous or even current "In Colors".

So the important thing to tell you is - from today 4th April, all products that are available in the retiring colours, will only be available while stocks last. This could be card stock, ribbon, ink, papers, buttons etc. If you have a favourite, please get it/them while you can to avoid disappointment.
